Basic Science Mysteries and Natural Science Mysteries

If you’ve enjoyed some of Tiner’s biographies of famous scientists, mathematicians and inventors, you should like this series. The authors begin each chapter with a narrative and plot which requires enough application of scientific and (Christian) life principles to solve mysteries. In other words, the narrative approach is used to engage students and draw them through the course with great interest.

Features of this complete curriculum are: introduction to great scientists of the past and present (including great black and white pictures) and to the foundations of all modern science fields and grounding in scientific methodology. Positive life principles, personal responsibility and Christian morals are reinforced and tied to the lesson.

Question: Does this curriculum use living books?
Answer: It is a living book itself. A seamless narrative takes you through the lives of numerous famous people and events of science and teaches through their findings the facts about science.  There are questions at the end of each chapter for ease of use and retention.

Quotations from happy students and parents:

"I used to hate science but now it's my favourite subject.  I do it first now and I think I really understand it."

"My son always does his science first now and he says he enjoys it."

"One of my students was a complainer...never wanting to do anything.  Now he loves the course and is running through it."

"I have tried everything and could not motivate my son to do his lessons.  I would stand over him to make sure he did his work. Not any more.  Your Basic Science Mysteries keeps him interested and I don't have to make him do it."
