Please place orders by email or postal mail.     We answer emails within 24 hours, and will reply to any postal queries by phone. 

Please phone only for payment of bills by credit card, or to alert us to mis-sent books or returns.

2) Payment Information

Once we receive an order (email or postal) we will prepare a quote and advise you of this amount.  You may then authorise us to charge your

credit card, or call us with those details.  Or you may

send a cheque made out to 'Home School Favourites', or

money order for that amount (Money order written out to 'Mary Collis')

or pay online  BSB 062622  Acct # 10240643  Home School Favourites

Payment must be received in full before books will be sent out.

3) Postage Rates and Back Orders

You pay a flat rate of $10.00 postage  anywhere in Australia for your first parcel of books in an order ($5.50 for one single small novel-sized book)  and we pay for the postage of all and any subsequent backorders.  We reserve the right to hold orders for 2 to 3 weeks if we know backorders to be en route here. 

If you wish to have what is here sent immediately, you will pay postage on the next back order.   In other words, you will pay two lots of postage.

In the event that you are awaiting  a backorder (the first books having been sent out) and you decide to add a few extra books to your order, that new addition   will be counted as a new order – ie. You pay postage for it.  We may add any backorders we have from previous orders to that parcel if timing coincides, but you still pay postage for the part of the parcel that is the new order.

4) Service Time

We process most orders within 24 hours of receiving them, either posting them to you or ordering any books not there at the time.  Sometimes we experience delays while we await delivery from our suppliers.  Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.  To find unusual, specialist books we often deal with very small publishers working from tiny offices.  Small operations can't afford cheap, instant freight services, so sometimes unavoidable delays occur.  Also, books can, for one reason or another, remain in customs for up to 2 weeks, and that over and above the ten days they take to get here.  Your understanding means we can keep our prices as low as possible.    If your order is urgent, ask about Express Post delivery costs.  

5) Returns

Your purchases are covered by a 100% money-back guarantee - except in the case of opened CDs and DVDs (which may be copied onto a computer when opened).

Items must be returned in mint condiiton within 7 days of receipt if you are not satisfied for whatever reason, no questions asked.  You are responsible for return packaging and freight.  You wil receive a credit note, cheque (charge: $3), credit card reversal (charge: 2.5% of refund total) or bank transfer (no charge).  Items should be packed securely to avoid damage.  Australia Post is very rough with parcels.
