Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer

The Story of the World curriculum comes in 4 parts.  There is the book, which students from ages 8 to 14 will be able to read themselves.  Or else parents and teachers can read the book aloud to their students.   Alternately, students can listen to the book read on the CDs. 

Activity Books match up with the SOTW books.  Each chapter in the book has a corresponding chapter in the Activity book, with quiz questions for each section of the book, followed by map and timeline suggestions, extra reading suggestions (many of which we carry at HSF, see below), crafts and other activities.  Each Activity Book should take about a year to complete.   We suggest recording work in a  History Portfolio
