From  the moment a customer introduced me to this book, I knew I had to have my own copy.  This is the story of a house.  Built in the countryside with care by a man who envisioned the happy lives that would be lived out in her for generations, the little house sees the encroaching city with it's smog and cars and bustle, and life around the house begins to change.  Eventually as the city creeps closer and surrounds the little house, she is left, unkempt and abandoned.  However, that is not the end of the story.  Anyone who has ever lived in the country will love this story.
