Finally, the Original CM series coming out in Modern English.  Although the Original Version is beautiful in it's 19th century English, the flowery phrases take some time to work through, and the the point can be missed at times because not enough was read to put the phrase in context. 

This book, the first in the series to be 'translated' shows just how striking were the thoughts of Charlotte Mason, and just as much are they in our day.  Thought-provoking discussions on most aspects of educating children are mixed with instructions on conducting particular lessons - as clear now as a teacher's guide.

Page numbers of the Original Series, which many people use to find things (rather like chapter and verse in a Bible) are included in this book.

With Penny Gardner's CM Study Guide(my favourite book on the topic) now out of print, this is a timely replacement to read CM's actual words.
